APPRENTICE’S CORNER, VOL. 1

Hey all! Stephen here, Carl’s son. I don’t plan on doing many of these, I like to help pop with this website in the background, but I’ve wanted to make this little post for a while. Being my father’s son, I have been exposed to DnD for most of my memorable life. I never got too heavy into the rules or anything, I was always a player when I was younger, and haven’t played much since those days (trying to be better about that, life just keeps on life’n). What’s astounding though, is even just having an arms length relationship with DnD/TTRPGs as I’ve gotten older, I still remember all the times playing, and a lot of my core memories with Dad are around DnD, or some form of TTRPG/Fantasy things which got me wondering, when you think “Dungeons and Dragons”, do you have an image that comes to mind? Maybe a sound, maybe a time in your life? I’ve had the same image in my head for most of my life when it comes to almost all fantasy, including DnD, and that’s the cover of the “An Endless Quest Book #1 - Dungeon of Dread.”

I still remember Dad giving me this book, and I ran through every scenario possible, and being sad when I memorized all the different outcomes. the cover is one of if not my absolute favorite artwork I can think of in the Fantasy setting.

We’ve shouted out our friends Daniel (Click his name for his Instagram!!) and Rose Estes before, but I cant tell you how impactful that book, and this image was to me growing up. Thank you…..
